Kidsbooks publishes over 100 titles per year which are sold around the world and translated into many languages. Our backlist consists of over 1,000 titles.


Our many formats include activity books, board books, sound books, cloth books, and a variety of novelty books. All of our products for babies and young children are tested to the highest standard to ensure parents and caregivers are getting quality books that are completely safe.


We market our books to retailers, libraries, schools, and specialty markets. Many of our titles can be found at Costco, Barnes & Noble, Sam’s Clubs, TJMaxx, Marshalls, Target, Amazon, and more. Headquartered in Chicago, the Kidsbooks team is dedicated to making the best books possible to foster a lifelong love of reading and learning.

Chicago-based children's book publisher Kidsbooks ( is seeking an intern for the fall semester, with the possibility of extension into winter/spring, to assist with various editorial and administrative duties in our office. Ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, highly organized, proactive team player with excellent writing and grammar skills. Social media knowledge is a plus. This internship position offers a great opportunity to gain experience while learning about all stages of publishing in a creative, hands-on environment. Must be willing to work in our local Chicago office. College credit is available. Hours are flexible. This is an unpaid internship.

Responsibilities include:
- Customer service

- Copyright filing

- Website product updates

- Reviewing layouts

- Gathering content for manuscripts

- Copy editing and proofreading

- Special projects as needed
